Homestudio
Welcome to Pinkmonk’s Home Studio where u can find crappy sound equipment to semi professional ones. Most of the equipment are bought while I was spending time in New York and Buffalo. I was helping some fellow schoolmates with their video projects one day and suddenly I was making music for videos and short films. On my return to Singapore, I tried to find jobs their required music on films and I was lucky to be able to work with some award winning filmmakers. I also tried my luck on producing an album, and struck a deal with a artiste company and music giant, EMI Music. The singer’s manager wrote the song and my friend, Jonathan and I produced it. Wayne did the music engineering at his studio and really had a great time together. i continued to write music for filmmakers the whole of 2006 and 2007 and finally landed my bags with a local broadcast cable tv company since 2007, working on? Music of course!
Below are some pictures I took in my room. Some studio equipment for your viewing pleasure.
Frontal shot of my studio set-up. Its very simple. A powerful Macbook Pro, an external drive a midi keyboard and a couple of monitor speakers and there u have it! The rest are all digital! And yes, they save space too!
This little blue box is called the MBox 2, a musical interface that runs my Pro Tools LE system! I usually plug my CPX Yamaha acoustic guitar and Yamaha S08 for recording my songs.
This is my Yamaha S08. An 88 key real touch keyboard! Has a very beautiful piano sample and other sound sfx. I seldom use it these days, much prefer to dig up loops and to make music. Saves more time.
Side view of my home studio. The little white box behind my macbook is my external HD. Headphones from Technics, really comforty! Messy wires and unkept clothes. My keyboard next to the table.
Long shot of studio.
Another shot, this time with my CPX.
Another one.
